A list of victims of all occupational regimes during the 20th century in Ukraine.

A martyrology is a historical pantheon of glory of Ukrainian people, a list of victims of all occupational regimes during the 20th century in Ukraine, a list of brave heroes, the warriors of the Ukrainian Resistance Army (Ukrainian Insurgent Army - UPA) and participants of National Underground Organizations, who selflessly resisted the Moscow antichrist and fascist. In the memory of the perished and alive warriors of the Ukrainian Resistance Army (Ukrainian Insurgent Army - UPA) and Ukrainian Nationalists Organization there was created this grand pantheon of glory. There will be represented all participants of the national liberation movement, including the names of soldiers of military units of the Ukrainian Resistance Army (Ukrainian Insurgent Army - UPA), the names of participants of armed underground organizations and the names of members of rear supporting structures, and as well there will be indicated all the places where were buried unidentified soldiers.
For a long time on the territory of Ukraine there were formed highly-developed cultures which were dealing with arable farming. Mild climate and chernozem (black soil) promoted the development of social groups in the area of the Northern Black Sea Coast, the Carpathian Mountains, the Ukrainian marshy woodlands and the river basins of Dnipro and Dnister. The people worked hardily, ploughed their fields, sowed and harvested, developed their own culture and improved their social institutions. Every peasant ploughed his land plot, holding on the alert a sword to defend his private property and freedom. The arms were for peasant an elementary part of his everyday life almost until the 18th century. The arms served as an instrument of personal safety, defense from enemies and guarantee of a family well-being. The arms were widely glorified in folk songs, legends and tales.
The armed peasants formed armed units to defend against enemies. Gradually, these units turned into professional armed forces. In this way there was established the world-famous "Zaporozhian Sich", a chivalry order of freemen with its own statute, which gathered under its flags the brave persons with heroic spirit from all Ukraine to defend peaceful peasantry from different nomads and aggressive armies of neighbor countries. Only after many catastrophic mistakes, made by the upper governing hierarchy of Ukrainian society, the armed forces of foreign states were able to occupy the territory of Ukraine. And after almost complete physical extermination of Cossacks, the warriors of the Zaporozhian Sich, and killing of many people with heroic spirit, the occupational administration was able to enslave the Ukrainian people, to make them miserable and to establish gradually the serfdom.
These events in the distant 18th century have got a first ring of a chain, which lead to the horrible tragedy of the freedom-loving people in the 20th century. The people were forced to forget the arms, to deny the cult of arms, and for this they have got a victim of the red terror, artificial starvation, mass ethnical murdering and horrible tortures. The years of Bolshevik's regime in Ukraine have resulted in millions innocent victims who died from starvation, tortures and deportation to Siberia. The red commissars brutally conduct themselves toward unarmed peasants and workers. Only in the Western Ukraine, the people leaded by the Ukrainian Resistance Army (Ukrainian Insurgent Army - UPA) and Ukrainian Nationalists Organization after World War II defended from the red "liberators" their right for life, liberty and independence at the cost of huge human losses. In the name of these victims of artificial starvation, political repressions, mass murders and deportations there was created the present passional, the historical pantheon of glory.
In the large list of the heroes who have sacrificed their lives for freedom and independence of Ukraine in the 20th century, an honorable place has been granted to the participants of national liberation struggle in armed units of the Ukrainian Resistance Army (Ukrainian Insurgent Army - UPA) and National Underground Organization. Also, in the passional there is a completed list of religious servicemen who firmly resisted the red devil gangs, which declared the war to God, ruining churches, cathedrals, synagogues, and drowning in blood thousands of priests and millions of believers.
The passional includes the names of all the Ukrainians who didn't submit to different invaders, both from Moscow and Berlin, firmly resisted and struggled for the better life and independence of their native country and were killed. This name list is an important historical document, which testifies the strength of spirit of our people, shows the satanic insatiability of communist regime and makes obvious the price we have paid for nowaday independence of Ukraine.
